What We Demo

Our Interior Demo Services Include:
We specialize in residential interior demolition, whether you’re renovating a single space or doing a full gut job. Our team removes materials cleanly and safely, taking care not to damage surrounding areas or hidden systems like electrical or plumbing.

Here’s what we can take care of:

  • Drywall and plaster removal – We demo walls and ceilings, including old plaster or outdated paneling.

  • Ceiling demolition – Including popcorn ceilings, textured finishes, and acoustic/drop ceiling systems.

  • Non-load-bearing framing removal – We’ll take out interior walls, room dividers, or framing no longer needed—making space for your updated layout.

  • Flooring underlayment – If your project requires removing subfloor materials or underlayment (under drywall or wall framing), we’ll take care of it.

  • Trim, casing, and finishes – Crown molding, baseboards, door trim, and other finish materials can be removed as needed for remodeling.

  • Basement or room gut-outs – Whether it’s one area or an entire lower level, we’re experienced in full interior tear-outs.

  • Kitchen and bath demolition – We can demo cabinetry, walls, soffits, and finishes in preparation for your contractor or remodeler.

  • Full interior gut rehabs – Need to strip your home down to the studs? We’ll handle the demo with care and proper disposal.

What We Don’t Demo:
To keep our scope clear and focused, here’s what falls outside our demo services:

  • Exterior demolition – No siding, roofs, porches, or structural exterior walls.

  • Commercial demolition – We only offer demo services for residential properties.

  • Concrete or foundation demo – We don’t break out concrete, foundations, or structural footings.

  • Structural demo – Load-bearing wall removal is not included unless you’re hiring us to reframe it (e.g., install an LVL beam).

  • Hazardous materials – We do not handle asbestos, mold, or lead abatement. Please have the area professionally cleared if any of these are suspected.

    Yes, we offer free estimates.
  • How do I schedule an appointment for a free estimate?
There's a few ways to schedule an estimate: 1. Submit a request right here on our website 2. Call the office at (502) 647-7709 during business hours. 3. Email us info@alvaradodrywall.com
  • What information do I need to provide to schedule a free estimate?
Provide your name, phone number, mailing and billing address, email, and a brief description of the project scope or the specific work you need done. This information helps us prepare the right resources and provide you with the most accurate estimate. Please note that our coordinators may ask additional project-related questions to better understand your needs
  • What happens after scheduling an appointment for a free estimate?
After you schedule your estimate, our coordinators will add your appointment to our general schedule and assign an estimator. If the need to cancel or reschedule arises, feel free to call our office at (502) 647-7709.
  • What can I expect during my appointment?
At your appointment, your estimator will conduct measurements and inspect the areas requiring work. They may also take notes to ensure all details are accurately recorded. This is an excellent time for you to voice any questions or concerns you may have regarding your project. Open communication helps us understand your needs better and ensures our estimates are as precise as possible.
  • How soon after the appointment has passed will I receive my estimate?
Due to the detailed nature of drywall work, our estimators are not able to provide an immediate estimate at the time of the appointment. Instead, they return to our office to carefully calculate the specifics of your project, ensuring we provide the most accurate price possible. Typically, please allow a turnaround of 1-5 business days to receive your estimate. Occasionally, delays may occur; if you have not received your estimate within the allotted timeframe, please contact our office for an update.
  • How will I receive my estimate?
Once your estimator has finalized your estimate, an office coordinator will email the estimate to the email address you provided at the time of scheduling the appointment, unless you did not provide an email or specified a different method of delivery (such as text). Please be aware that emails can sometimes be directed to your spam folder, so we recommend checking there as well. If you do not receive the email within the 1-5 business day timeframe our estimators need to prepare your estimate, please don't hesitate to call our office for an update.
  • Can you provide an estimate based off pictures?
Yes, we can typically provide an estimate if clear photos are submitted. We’re often able to give accurate quotes for smaller jobs such as crack repairs, patchwork, or minor touch-ups based on pictures alone. For larger projects—like remodels or new construction—we recommend an in-person visit to ensure a thorough and accurate estimate. If you have pictures and would like an estimate, please submit them through the scheduling form on our website. Our estimators may follow up for additional details or to schedule an on-site appointment if needed.
